NYOS 2024

Having been accepted as a member of North Yorkshire Open Studios in September 2023, I will be presenting my new body of work, Knots & Bows, framed multi-media art at the June 2024 Open Studio weekends in Pica Studios.

The work behind this series names Knots & Bows, started when I was wanting to re-imagine the tartan and checked fabrics of my childhood, which led to thousands of iterations of knitwoven textile samples made on my knitting machine. As I became more interested in the sculptural work of Noguchi, Brancusi and Ernst, I started to bring wood into the my 2d textiles, creating new forms of 3d art work.
